How do you wire a GE fan motor has 3 wires going to it? (White, Black, Green)?

The white wire goes to a condenser external which has a red wire going into the engine. The other two wires (black and green) directly into the engine. What are the positive and negative wires?

This, I fear, will be a non-answer for you. However, fan motors are AC driven, not DC, so polarity is not the issue. The presence of a capacitor also supports this (or DC voltage just hangs). If you are in the U.S., green is the ground, white is neutral, and black is hot 110v systems. Neutral is usually tied to the land to repress 0V. However, when you go on 220V single phase, there is no real standard. Often the target of will lead to a 220v side, black to the other side, it will not be neutral, and green goes to ground. Some systems, however, use a 4-wire connection for one phase 220v, where the red goes to one side of the 220v, black for the other side, white to neutral and green ground. The purpose of 4-wire connection is tied to neutral ground 0v the clamp. If you're in Europe, is a different story. So you can see that at least should talk to a local electrician before running the risk of frying something, or yourself.
