What Are Some Of The Symptoms Of Fibroid Atlanta

by Jolene Montoya

A common condition that affects up to 50 percent of women are fibroid Atlanta tumors in the uterus. They can be found either on or in the smooth muscle of the wall of the uterus. These tumors can get very big, but most of the time they stay so tiny that they are not noticed. When they get large enough, they can cause certain symptoms to alert one that they are there.

There are conditions that seem to lead to a higher occurrence in those that have them and those that do not. Those that are over weight, have never given birth, started their menstrual cycle before the age of 10, and are of African descent appear to be more receptive to developing these tumors than other groups.

If one starts to notice that they are having vaginal bleeding when they should not, find themselves being constipated or having to urinate all the time, see that their waist is expanding without an associated weight gain, or the shape of their lower stomach changes, they may be experiencing symptoms of large tumors growing inside them.

This would be a good time to go see a doctor. They can initially determine if there is a mass expanding in one’s belly by simply placing their hands over the area and pressing down. Most times this is not a true emergency, but if the conditions have expanded to heavy bleeding, night sweats, fever, lower belly pain, and bloating, one will want to schedule a doctor’s appointment immediately.

The most common form of treatment has been a hysterectomy. This is considered a total cure since it removes the area where tumors grow, but there are medications now that can help treat some cases. A physician can guide one of the treatment options that would be suitable for each individual.

Uterine fibroid Atlanta tumors often grow very slowly and the symptoms develop over time. When one finds that there are experiencing these difficulties, they should call their doctor.
