Vertical Dumbbell

In this article I'll be covering the vertical jump training for players of basketball. This comes from my personal experience so I hope you guys take this information to heart and start working to increase your vertical leap and slam dunk.
Plyometric Training: Plyometric training is designed to increase your muscle strength. Muscular power is what motivates your body to explode and jump. It is when your body has quick bursts muscle strength. Power is a consequence of the relationship between your strength and speed (power = force x speed). Plyometrics trains your body to exercise great part of your forces in a short period of time. Examples of plyometric exercises would jump to the box, split squat jumps, depth jumps and bounding.
Strength Training: The overall strength of your muscles greatly determines your potential to jump vertically. In other words, the more your muscles are, the more strength they can muster, and the more you can skip. Think about your overall strength than the raw power of your body. It is the foundation of your vertical jumping ability and it is vital that you develop your strength. Examples of strength training include squats, lunges with dumbbells and leg presses.
Important things to note: Although plyometric including training and strength training is important in developing your vertical jump, with the right combination of both in your routine is even more important. Different types of people benefit more from training cons plyometric strength training and vice versa. The type of your unique organization will determine what kind of mixture of training you will get the most of.
