Let\’s face it; practically everyone in the world today is aware of the fact that they have a subconscious mind. In fact, when things go wrong in our lives, many people immediately place the blame on their subconscious mind. Unfortunately however, not many people seem to realize just how powerful the subconscious mind can be, and that it can be your best friend or your worst enemy, in that it is your subconscious mind which ultimately controls the way in which you live your life. Perhaps you are wondering what exactly is a subconscious mind, and why it\’s essential for people to pay close attention to what the subconscious mind is thinking?
Practically everyone acknowledges the fact that they have a subconscious mind, despite numerous attempts by professionals to convince us otherwise. Essentially, the subconscious mind could be compared to a game controller, in that it\’s responsible for our actions and our thoughts. It\’s that little whisper in the back of our mind which speaks to us whenever we find ourselves in a challenging situation. Of course, the manner in which your subconscious mind communicates with you will differ from one person to the next, and no two people will have the same subconscious mind. Irrespective of whether or not people are raised under the exact same circumstances, each one\’s subconscious mind will communicate with them differently.
Contrary to what you may believe, you have also heard your subconscious mind speaking to you in the past. For example, if you\’ve ever been on the verge of making a monumental decision and a voice inside your head managed to speak you out of it, then that was your inner mind talking. Obviously we all want our inner mind to talk us out of doing dangerous things but unfortunately it sometimes manages to convince us that we cannot do something even though we actually can. As such, your subconscious mind is basically what you think of yourself deep down, and if left unchecked, it can have disastrous consequences.
Of course, if those thoughts which come from deep within are negative, then there\’s not much chance that you will ever be able to enjoy the type of life you long for. On a more positive note; it is possible to change the way a subconscious mind thinks, and in so doing, you can successfully changed the way you live your life so that you can enjoy it to the fullest.
In order to achieve this, many people rely on affirmations so that they can change the way they think. Affirmations are essentially positive statements which one can repeat to oneself several times each day. Unlike subliminal messaging scripts, affirmations don\’t require you to spend any money, simply because you can do it yourself at home. The first step you need to take is to start thinking about which aspect of your life you would like to change, and then you can follow up by thinking about yourself.
If for example you want to lose weight, then instead of thinking of yourself as being overweight, you should be repeating to yourself a statement like, \’my weight is absolutely perfect\’. The more you enforce this message upon yourself, the more effective it will be. Ideally, you should write it down on a piece of paper which you can keep in your pocket and you should place a copy of it in any area of your home where you spend a good amount of time. In fact, you could even have it has a screen saver on your computer. Providing you repeat this message enough times, your subconscious mind will eventually pick up on the idea that this is what it should be thinking.
In this example, you will soon start becoming fit, but if you used affirmations for some other purpose such as to make money, then you\’ll also discover your bank account will soon begin improving.
Let\’s take a look at another example which you may even be able to relate to. How often have you woken up a bit later than you should have, and the first thing you think is, \’I just know that it\’s going to be one of those days again\’? You jump in the shower, only to realize there\’s no soap. You finish up and head to the kitchen for a quick cup of coffee before work, and what happens, you end up spilling coffee over yourself. By the time you get to work you firmly believe that it\’s definitely going to be one of those off days. Once in your office you\’re faced with several problems and just when you think things cannot get any worse, they do.
While many people would blame this on coincidence, saying that if they had remembered to set the alarm, they would not have woken up late, and if they had looked where they were going, they would not have stepped in the dog\’s mess. However, there is no such thing as coincidence, in that everything happens for a reason, and in most cases, your subconscious mind is the reason.
In recent times books such as \’The Secret\’ have tried extremely hard to explain this phenomena in scientific terms which is why it is now known as the \’Law of Attraction\’, which states that a person\’s subconscious mind not only responds and reacts to real life situations, but that it actually plays a part in creating such situations.
Even though this may sound rather crazy, the fact of the matter is that it is in agreement with quantum physics. In fact, it has even been proven at a subatomic level, in that matter is intrinsically linked to the mind of the observer. Interestingly enough, many ancient religions have been trying to tell us of this ever since man can remember.
Essentially, if we can create our own reality by using our subconscious mind, then we can in essence choose what kind of reality we wish to experience. It is also worth noting that some of the most influential people in the world throughout the course of history have come to realize this as being fact, and as a result, they were able to accumulate great wealth simply by taking advantage of the power of affirmations.
