Muay Thai Kickboxing, is a hard style form of martial art from Thailand. This "art of eight" incorporates the use of both hands, feet, elbows and shins in the attack. This article focuses on the techniques of Muay Thai elbow.

There are basically three types of elbows, you can throw. The football player's shoulder, elbow, Karate, and Muay Thai elbow.

Firstly, the elbow football player. What are you see elbows thrown on the line scrum after the ball is broken. It is primarily designed to knock someone down. It is essentially a push with the forearm as a buffer. You do not do much damage with it, but if you throw hard enough, you get someone's attention.

The second elbow Karate is the elbow. As the elbow football, karate elbow is launched with the weight of the attacker behind her. This elbow is designed to drive a opponent in a heap. The difference between these two is that you really try to hurt someone with your elbow in karate, did not block or just hit them.

Finally, and my favorite is the Muay Thai elbow. Muay Thai elbow is a bad move designed to cut your opponent. The elbows are for close combat. This means that you have to involve close – you definitely aim for the face with it. Muay Thai elbow when performed correctly, attracts so much blood, because the bones sharp elbow of the attacker is what makes contact with the face of the enemy. The effect is similar to a section of a knife.

Here below are a few things to remember when delivering elbows. First, as mentioned previously, you must be close. Keep in mind, when you step in to deliver an elbow, you run the risk of receiving one yourself. Be sure to keep your guard with my forearm internal running in a direction parallel to your nose and chest. Some people like to custody of a boxer with the hand or open fist opposing stand near or on the cheek or temple. That's good, but I think someone with proper technique can blast a elbow through this type of guard and inflict damage. Anchoring the palm of the hand guard against this opponent. In my opinion, this is the best way to protect cons-cons a nudge.

Secondly, when training on the heavy bag, make sure you deliver your elbows with solid strikes blows bag. Do not scratch or slide your elbow against the bag – just tear the skin of your elbow and hurt you. You will not hurt the bag and you do not Look cool. Just do not do it.

Muay Thai elbows gives the practitioner and a surplus of benefits to the elbows in other styles of art martial. When executed properly, these elbows will devastate your opponent and end the fight quickly.
