Although ultrasound can be used to help find signs of endometriosis, it is something that does not tell the story true of what happens in many women. Although ultrasound is a great tool for many things, it has a drawback when diagnose this disease. There are times when it comes CanÂ't collection of nodules which often indicate that there is a problem. The next step after This diagnosis is then to use laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis to get a better look at what happens.

Laparoscopy is a tool that is used in many different fields of medicine. This tool takes some practice, but gives the eye doctor to see inside the body without being too obtrusive. This is a tiny camera that can be put into the body through a tiny opening. It has a light attached, and can be used to help firms such as gastric bypass, and can also be used for exploratory surgery to look for signs of endometriosis, among other things. This reduces significantly down on recovery time for many people.

When a person present for endometriosis, your doctor will probably make a small incision in the navel. The patient may be completely eliminated and, in some cases a local anesthetic may be used so that the patient can stay awake. A small tube containing both light and a tiny camera video are inserted. Several times, a sort of gas (almost always carbon dioxide) is inserted so that belly swells. This allows the camera and the surgeon to see better. This also allows others to view the surgery. The spots that are suspected as areas with growth endometriosis will be explored.

There are times when this is done to see what happens and other times it can be used to assist the surgeon to see where the endometriosis is located to remove. Although removal is sometimes possible without incisions, there may be cases where several incisions may be necessary to remove the tissues that must be performed on the body for biopsy. These incisions are usually located near the pubic area, or what is known as the bikini area. A physician must go through all the possibilities of what could happen and what could be made during surgery and all they could do as a result.

Once endometriosis laparoscopy is done, a patient must allow to recover fairly quickly. Nausea is fairly common, and recovery could take several days. There may be accompanied by pain in the shoulders due to gas that was used during surgery. This should disappear fairly quickly. There may cause pain and discomfort, but patient will be given painkillers to manage it. If the pain goes beyond what the pills can handle, or if a person develops a fever, they should return their doctor to make sure everything goes well.
