So many people genuinely interested in MA-Martial Arts on Yahoo Answers asking what style is best?

And this is pretty natural, as popular Kung Fu movies often pit one style (or school of thought) against one another to prove which is better. (Like Crane vs. Tiger Claw) Perhaps a better question would be, how to tell if The sensei in a dojo is not good. Or perhaps believes style is more important than the individual dojo. * Is more important than the school teacher or sensei important than style? As "Teacher" importantly, what qualities are you looking for? If "school" is more important, what style is best?

When I first got here, I had read that Muay Thai was TKD and everything is crap … so honestly, that a TKD guy, I went looking for a Muay Thai school ….. What I found was something different that what I was used (not better or worse, but added very strong), and a very well spoken, knowledgeable instructor that I look forward to learning for the coming years at least … The reason I respect him most, he will I did not say what was wrong or bad, but this is how it is done in Muay Thai and this is why …. Whether I agree with everything he says or not is irrelevant, and I do my best to do what he says …. On sparring days, when I try to do what I've learned from him (Im still not really work), if I get in trouble and go back to what course for me (to save my face hurt haha) he never talks down or corrects me, but the next few classes seems to me he does exercises to help "convert" order to speak …. What I really learned about the 2 different art when and where each one works best and it will eventually mix one for me …. So I would say to anyone (who gets on Yahoo answers and asks what art is better at fighting) find a good instructor, learn as much as you can about every style and stop in fantasyland about the fact that Bruce Lee
