Taekwondo Student

The martial art of ninjutsu – the art of the ancient ninja of Japan – is filled with secrets and non-conventional principles and concepts that give the system its depth, power and data. But control begins with the first step on the road.

New students to the art of ninpo-taijutsu, "Art of the ninja's body, are introduced into a set of eight techniques. These techniques are collectively known as Kihon Happo – the 8 principles. These techniques provide basic ninja lessons you will need to build a solid and appropriate, not only in itself of ninja protection methods, but in your progression to higher levels and deeper control.

But even the most advanced students of this powerful martial tradition and old, have not yet discovered a very important secret is hidden within the Kihon Happo. And the secret is:

The Kihon Happo is not only 8 basic techniques!

The secret is the name given to this set of techniques.

Simply translated:

KIHON is "basic", "Foundation", "core", and …

Happo is usually translated as "8 channels." The word itself, however, is written with two kanji characters. One, the word: Hachi, or the number "eight", and another ho (po), for "Methods" or "average."

But when we understand the deeper meaning when used the term "Ho" is added to any number you get a very different idea. And while the term KIHON Happo can indeed be made with the basic translation of "eight techniques, it actually involves much more.

So much in fact that once you learn the secret …

… Your training will never be the same!

To understand this secret, we can use the English figure "8" instead of the Sino-Japanese kanji character classic. When we fix the number eight, his side, what do we do it?

We obtain the mathematical character for "infinity".

And this which is implied when we add the ho (or "po" as it becomes due to the language) to a number. And it is the key to unlocking the power, depth and door control Kihon Happo pointed by the ninja's. Because what you're supposed to do, after learning of each all techniques of all is the following:

You're supposed to take each kata or technique, and make "8" variations outside him. This means that when you're finished, you will have a total of 64 techniques. But then, you're supposed to take each of these new variants, and …

… make eight changes for each of these! And then 8 more for each of them, and …

Well, you get the picture.

The point here is be careful when you see a list of "something" in the art of ninjutsu. Because if this list is not open-ended limited – leaving you to add up, or account for anything that could be added …

While this is not a list Ninja – but that which is born of "style" classic, limited thinking and narrow mindedness …

… no control!
