Stars Karate
As the films were processed, as it does not have any computers?

In the old days, such films have been processed, if we do not have computers and stuff? Films like Star Wars, Karate Kid and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have processed all super cool effects and really good film, but I do not get how they did it without computers, as we now have. Scenes are also faded out, and have similar effects. How could this happen?

Back in the day, a film editor at a bank with the film set before him and went frame by frame crushing the film and spliced it back together. Special effects were done using models, props, lighting, etc., and actually later by referring to the footage. If you want to see in action, I found an old Star Wars Making of documentary on You Tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBT0xu8-8Ps
