Powerline networking – how good is this system?

I have a well-established Wi-Fi network in my home – tower of strength, but an upstairs bedroom is always a weak signal. I want a second one with Wi-Fi access point up there, but I can not run CAT5 from the lower router / modem. I have already the second Wi-Fi router configured as an access point and I was tested, while it directly to the first Wi-Fi router (I also two Wi-Fi networks now). If I buy the powerline adapters and connect the channel adapter to connect to the first router and plug the receiver adapter outlet in the upstairs bedroom, second router, I plug into the receiver adapter and Wi-Fi to get?
