Shirt Muay

T-shirts symbolic form a simple way to make a statement with maximum impact. As the saying goes,  "a picture is worth a thousand wordsÂ" and these days there is much more than a thousand different t-shirts bearing the iconographic art that can help you say it. A classic T shirt that seems to make a return force is that of Ernesto Â'Che 'Guevara, Argentine revolutionary and the right arm of Fidel Castro. There was a poster boy for the left dramatically over the last 50 years and HEA is now more visible than ever due to the  "Diaries Motorcycle", a film which recounts her years training. One effect of the iconography is that once something has been elevated to the position of Â'icon it can often lose their original identity and context. This isnÂ't always a problem, however, in the case ita GuevaraÂ's important to watch his life as a whole and its legacy, especially in Cuba.

It is easy to identify with Che in the film. As a young student medicine, Guevara spent time working in a leper colony as he traveled through Chile, Peru and Venezuela with his friend Alberto Granado slapped on a Norton 500. And to see firsthand the compassion displayed by individual caregivers in the colony the young Guevara was also exposed to the reality of worker exploitation and political oppression present in Central America and South America in the 1950A's. However the image of this young idealist is totally at odds with Castro Guevara helped overthrow the Batista regime in Cuba in 1959. Once to power, Guevara supervised the prison of La Caba in Havana where he ordered the execution of hundreds of prisoners by firing squad without trial and when asked about this show himself as someone motivated more by hatred than the pure desire to change an oppressive regime. Â "This is a revolution! Â "he said. A "and a revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate." Guevara was eventually killed in Bolivia, chasing a new revolution.

The system he helped create continues to violate human rights. There are many dissidents in Cuba, which recently have been detained and remain in prison for speaking out against the regime present. There is also a growing unease among well-known and influential political activists that Western democracies are ignoring these Â'prisoners conscience . Vaclav Havel, playwright and former president of the Czech Republic has been heard to condemn the public pledge of the European Union P Crafts guest lists of embassies in accordance with the wishes of a Cuban Government. Havel believes that by doing so, another way used by dissidents to cause a change has been closed. Havel calls this apartheid "Â diplomatic 'and he should know.

From the end of the 1960A's up to the fall of the Soviet Union Havel has spoken repeatedly against the Czech communist government and was imprisoned for several years. He said that "The salvation of this human world lies nowhere else than in the human heart in the power of man to think, in the sweetness of man and man responsibility. "Dissidents in Cuba want a real and lasting change for their country and choose theyÂ're to do this peacefully. The image of Che Guevara with his beret on a t-shirt designer may still represent a revolutionary change and Â'sticking to mana, but also of the ITA in bad taste by looking at his past actions and current situation in Cuba.
