Am I better off to an Adult XL shirt and shrinking it or buying a shirt Youth XL size?

I want a clothing purchase of a T-shirt online, but it does not available my shirt size (Adult – Medium), so I compensate with: Youth – XL or Adult – XL (Smallest size available), and washing on the "Hot" in the hope that it shrinks Perhaps this question is best suited for a household of a parent so if you are there, please help me out! Thanks:)

I wear adult often small and t-shirts in the boys department – I wear a shirt big boys. The big difference is in long sleeves – boys long sleeves to short cut. To provide a tshirt I would go with the guys and not worry about size. Next time you can stop messages from the boys department and things to try.
