What is the best way to mountain bikes to a roof rack strap?

I have a 94 rodeo with a sports rack on top. I've never set my bike up and asked me whether everyone had some useful advice on what the proper procedure is to radiant ping them on the rack. Thanks in advance …

Hi, the best and safe way to buy an aftermarket bicycle that attaches to your factory rack. Manufacturers like THULE and YAKIMA make direct bolt on the bike racks that will fit your sport Rodeo factory rack. The crazy / unsafe way that you can have your bike upside down and adjust / slide your cross bars, so they directly under your seat and steering wheel. Place the front wheel directly over the bar and use tie downs to make sure that each end of the steering wheel. Then take your rear crossbar and so your bike seat is directly over your rear crossbar and use a different tie to secure the seat to the rear lat. I had a friend do it and it worked for one days and forgot he drove his SUV into his garage with his bike still tied. Ouch!
