OSHA Act: "To ensure a safe working condition and safe for workers and women, by applying the standards developed, helping and encouraging the States in their efforts to provide safe working conditions and healthy by making available research, information, education and training in the field of safety training and health. "

How and why OSHA describes training and standards required for safe workplaces:

Congress comes to know that injuries and accidents work situations, creating a burden and an obstacle to the, the interstate commerce and intrastate causing lost production, lost wages, medical expenses and disability benefits.

It is the goal of Congress and policy to regulate commerce throughout the nation and with foreign countries and to provide general welfare to ensure that all workers, men and women are protected from health hazards arising in the workplace. This policy is implemented by the result of the efforts mentioned above:

(1) encouraging employers and employees in their efforts to reduce the number of safety and health risks at their workplaces,

(2) employment by employers and employees have different responsibilities and rights to achieve safe and healthy environment where working conditions;

(3) authorizing the Minister of Labor, set occupational safety and health standards that apply to businesses involved in interstate commerce.

(5) providing research in the field of safety and health

(6) searching for latent diseases, establishing causal links between diseases and work in environmental conditions

(7) by providing medical criteria which will ensure that no employee will suffer ill health, low functional capacity or life expectancy due to his work experience;

(11) by encouraging States to assume full responsibility for the implementation of their training in occupational safety and health laws

(12) providing reporting procedures which are state occupational safety and health procedures and help achieve the objectives of this Act and describe the precise nature of the safety and health problem;

(13) by encouraging joint labor management efforts to reduce injuries and diseases arising from employment.
