How long is it after a very heavy dead leg, you must stop ice and compression and start stretching?

I picked a really bad dead leg in rugby training. I been icing it when I can and keeping it compressed, but I'm not sure if they begin with stretching and massage or how to tell if this is the right time to do.

That does not sound good. I'm a 2nd year physiotherapy student and my advice would be to a professional. You must be physically examined thoroughly before anyone can recommend. My first conclusion would be that there is sum kind of inflammation leads to compression of a nerve, it would cause a lack of feeling, but I cannot say sure until the is investigated. I'm afraid that any advice I gave you would be more harmful than beneficial. Remember that people spend years studying, so they ca help people, not delay, especially if you want to keep play.
