I need help, I coach a 14 select soccer team. I have a 12 years old boy who constantly knee pain arount the kneecap / patella; The best advice I could to him streatch and use hot / cold pads before and after games and practices "… Is there anything else this guy can do to him help?

Ibuprofen for the pain / swelling / inflammation. Keep it elevated and ice often. Continue to play will not allow it to heal. I sympathize, once a joint injury will be painful to some extent for the rest of your life and especially as a senior.
