Pad Karate

Done wrong, gouge his thumb in the eye is almost useless. . . but done well, is one of the most dangerous techniques and effective defense that street fighting I or II World War combat training has to offer. Read on to learn five simple guidelines for effective use of thumb in the eye gouges:
1. No "push" the eyes, gouge beyond them – Whether you're trying to control someone using pressure against the eyes or are trying to destroy the globe, never just put in the eye as a toddler. Rather you should try to force the thumb between the eye socket and eye in the skull. This will cause more pain, more fear and continued, increasing the pressure or it will destroy the eyeball, or remove the skull.
2. The thumb of the eyes from the inside – If you had to place the thumb between the eyeball and eye socket on the outside of the eye, near his temple and he were to push his hand, which would be the end of his thumb gouge. If you have chosen to gouge the eye, between the eye and nose, inside of his face and went to the strength of his hand to one side, would have to rake your thumb across the entire surface of his own eyeball, causing pain and damage itself.
3. Do not gouge with a hand, blocking Buttons around the head or neck – I hate when I see pictures of inexperienced trainers hold only one person's head and forcing his thumbs in his eyes. If to do that, it could easily just push or pull his hands away. Now imagine her head in a sort of headlock, arm keylocking (a lock is a form cross both forearms to control a body part of an opponent and at the same time combining the strength of both arms in a warehouse) and then the thumb upward eyes. It is difficult to explain a blockage in the words, but if an attacker were to try to push it out of him, a key lock automatically force harder thumb in the eye.
4. Aim your thumb gouges, palms and fingers – If you were to try to shoot the thumb directly in the eye of an aggressor, you will lose much more than the times. Instead, first contact somewhere in the body of his attacker with the palm of your hand. As soon as you have made contact with the palm of your hand, must be capable of delivering to run over his body and find the head, even with your eyes closed, or in the dark. When the palm of your hand is on the side of the head, find their ears with fingertips, which will automatically thumbs able to gouge his eyes. Try it yourself at the moment: Place the palm of his right hand on the right side of his face and touch your right ear with your hand. Now the circle around the thumb and automatically be placed between the nose and eye, as when using a thumb to gouge out of a choke from behind. Put your right hand on the left side of his face, fingertip on his left ear and the thumb passes automatically to the position of the eye gouge, a chisel thumb to someone standing in front of you.
5. Make hooks his thumbs – As can be imagine, the best weapon the body to cause pain and / or eye damage is a small or pointed. Therefore, you need to be sure you always with the point of your thumb and the PAD is not the wide and smooth to apply pressure. An easy way to make sure to do this is to make a hook with your thumb. In other words, curl the thumb in which the contact head with their opponents only be done with the palms and the tip, not the flat platform of your finger. This is true regardless of whether they are grappling with the thumb or fingers.
