Ninjutsu Bujinkan

An important turning point in my ninjutsu martial arts learning process happened when I realized that there is something more going on than just the punching, kicking, and what-not, that makes up conventional Martial arts and self defense training. In fact, once I saw her go, move me away from the typical orientation to this "style" and that, and began looking on the techniques themselves to …

… what is "done" by each step in a technique string.

The question, I began to ask was, "what is the logic behind the moves? "And:" Why are the trains, where they intended in this string?

And that's what the book "Controlling The Fight: The 5 Keys of effective Self-Defense Strategy, "has to be.

It's about understanding and recognizing the key, or bridges, between one phase …

… a strategic moment …

… into a self-defense, and others.

It's about controlling the "pieces" of a Fight-scenario that will be managed as a strategic tool in the correct order needs and at the right time, when you succeed.

What are the critical Moments in the flow of battle? Let me begin by saying what they are not.

They are not …

… If you make hand contact with the surface the body of your attacker …

… if you lock his joints, immobilize him and prevent him from continuing to fight for …

… If your "way-cool" stance …

… the manner with which it has taught you to your weapon, or keep …

… A one hundred other "things" that concentrate the majority of books, videos, and schools of martial arts and self defense on almost exclusively.

But They are not these things either. If you do not understand something, what I'm trying to point out here, you will not see it.

Confused? Do not be.

The point here is that after each step or technique itself – the punch, lock, throw, etc. – there is a "reason" that this particular technique will happen in this way, and special at this time. It is something that the technology is either 'for' us or 'to' our attacker that makes a profit, or strengthen our control over the situation. In short …

… It is something that makes a particular technique right and proper for a particular moment …

… and completely wrong for another.

And make no mistake here. We are talking about a scientific application of the principles that work and have worked for centuries. And this science works …

… for who is knowledgeable of and in control of it in the fight!

What it means is this, if you know how to use this scientific application and the logic behind the strategic use of your skills and techniques, you will probably win. If you do not and do not make your attacker, you lose.

So what are these key moments or critical phases?

They are …

1) Your ability to assess your situation and understand what the perpetrators, or to try to do it for you.

2) Your defense against his incoming attacks. This is your ability to neutralize that his attacks on you.

3) How you unbalance him in a Way that your attacker to go with its own strategy to prevent and literally puts it in a position of weakness.

4) The actual counter-attack, you use to beat him back or take him to the ground. This is the phase where you actually fists flying at him.

5) Your ability to the effect that you had your technique on your assailant and what to miss your next steps (to restrain him, or prepare for a re-appraisal Barrage of attacks should be).

In my attempt to learn how to truly defend to myself and others successfully, I had the good fortune to some teachers, find their way towards the point was, many of these responses. Unfortunately (or fortunately, as this made me have to look really), we are not talking about the step-by-step mechanism the "style" here, as these can be taught by practically anyone to almost anyone else. What were we talking about something that is not visible if you know what you can search. It is invisible to the naked eye but still.

Just to know. Each of these critical moments – these keys – is an important, there is no decisive Element of the overall strategy of defense strategy. But where the book "The Karate-Myth" focused on the big picture defense strategy lead by General Awareness to actually deal with the aggressor (yet?) what I'm talking about the small picture strategy of Phase 6 – "Dealing with the attack."

If a general education for self-defense strategy is ultimately to "avoid" dangerous situations altogether; know this life is all about effective and Dealing effectively with One One man in love.

And when the "rubber-meets-the-road", so to speak …

… It does not matter how many way-cool Techniques that you know as much as …

… What you can "do" with them.
