I bet this little secret that happens to you excited … just as it did me. I just discovered the treasure of public domain and an opportunity ITA ideal business for many new Internet entrepreneurs.

Did you know theres a little known flaw in U.S. law that allows anyone distribute, sell or give the copyright has expired content? Officially it is called public domain, and an informed traders "borrow" to publish instant products.

Public domain refers to anything that is not protected under the U.S. law on copyright. This includes all works published before 1923 and under certain conditions, works published until 1978. Ã "work" can be anything, a book, films, plays, songs, photos, instruction manuals, posters, courses, reports, etc. You can take these works, repackage and resell at a profit. By tapping into the public domain content, all the nitty gritty work has been done for you.

There is almost an infinite number of ways you can make money with public domain content. Let me suggest 10 different models that you can use to activate and tap the public domain treasures.

Model 1: resale.

You can re-publish public domain content exactly as it is. If a book of the ITA, a film or even music, you can take this content and quickly transform it into a product. Simply copy as and is starting to sell.

Model 2: Website Content

You can take the text of public domain work which relates to a product you sell or affiliate program you're promoting. Then you can create Web pages and include links to your product page.

Model 3: Repackage

You can repackage a public domain work into a new product. You can use the ideas and some of the content of works public domain to create new and better products.

P. ex. Walt Disney characters Snow White, Little Mermaid were all stories from public domain.

Model 4: Multimedia

You can change the books in print in a CD player or even a video game. Add the perceived value of products by offering ways to consume information. What was once simply à "book" can now be a complete course of study at home or training program.

P. ex. One famous "Think & Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill has been transformed into an audio CD format that is most convenient.

Model 5: the reprint rights

You can sell your version of the information product along with marketing materials. People love reprint rights and the ITA a quick and easy to tons of money immediately. You can sell reprint rights only to a product of you have created from the material Parents in the public domain.

Model 6: Upsell

You can use public domain works and then use as a  "upsell" a regular version of your best selling product. You simply present your buyer with an additional option of a "upgrade" their order or add something to their order.

Model 7: Bonuses

Simply use work as a bonus to your main offer. People love bonuses and will buy a product just for the bonus if its unique and not something theyÂ've seen everything on the net already.

Model 8: Viral E-books

You simply take parts of the book and turn it into a viral e book – allowing others to pass along or even sell this e-book as their own. Once you trigger the  "virus" its nearly impossible to do stop because people keep passing it and these people continue to forward it etc., etc.

Model 10: Articles / Mini-Courses

You could use little contents from public domain works and create a mini-course that people subscribe from your site. You load just a series of 4 to 10 articles into your auto-responders and it delivers on total Auto Pilot.

You can also use the material in 500-800 word articles to distribute for free publicity and traffic to your sites. Publishers of electronic journals and website owners are always looking content fresh and hot exchange theyÂ'll send you more targeted traffic.
