Unlike often portrayed in movies, training is not just about fighting. Many people take martial arts for fitness benefits. Training in karate, tae kwon do, kung fu and other styles will improve fitness cardio-vascular and the tone of the muscular system. Force will gymnastics generally employed in training, but perhaps not to the same extent as working with weights. But the overall power of the body undoubtedly increase techniques for learning to use force effectively.
Most people will also improve their flexibility significantly while training for all ranges of motion of the body are exercised.
