Electric massagers are bad for you?

I bought a massager pads that you give to your body, and sends electrical signals to your muscles contract. Presumably that has the same effect as a massage, and it seems to be working well and I like it. But since sending electricity through your body, I'm wondering if it is bad for you. For example, if I one hours a day, would affect the health of the line? Any thoughts on this?

The test was done showing no long term ill health effects of such a device for the average person, but there is anecdotal evidence that some rare individuals may be affected. Personally I think these devices a waste of time, and I find greater benefit from exercise.
