Back pain is a complex problem and there is no simple answer to the question: What causes back pain?

One of the reasons that it is difficult to determine the cause back pain is that many structures that can be injured in the lower back (lumbar) region. You can injure muscles, ligaments, the intervertebral discs, nerve roots, the cartilage that lines the joints, the bones in the lower back, even more than the spinal cord. And of course you can injure multiple structures in the lumbar region.

Okay, I think you the point is that the lower complex.

Now I try to simplify and focus on mechanical back pain back pain (associated with osteoarthritis), a type of problem that affects the lower back.

Mechanical back pain or arthritis primarily affects the cartilage that lines the joints between the vertebrae of the lower back. It is intended as mechanical back pain because compression (a mechanical phenomenon) is usually the cause of the pain.
When the compressed joints, cartilage wear. When the cartilage wears away, stiff joints and get Achy.

Here are 6 factors that may contribute to additional pressure on the joints of the lower back.

# 1 A sedentary lifestyle and sits behind a computer puts additional pressure on the joints of your lower back. When you sit, your upper body weight is supported only by your lower than if you allow your ankle, knee and thigh muscles take some of the pressure on your lower back.

# 2 bad posture puts extra stress on the lower back. If your body is not in good alignment, you have more pressure in the area not in the line and you will have less stability in that area.

# 3 Weak abdominal muscles can increase the pressure on the lower back. The abdominals help to the position of the pelvis and lower back and the back stop overarching exaggerated.

# 4 Weak lower back muscles may increase the pressure on the lower back. The lower back muscles like the abdominals play an important role in stabilizing the lower back.

# 5 Poor Flexibility can increase the pressure on the lower back. When your body is flexible, it is not moving efficiently. If your body is stiff in one area, additional pressure will be on a different field of play for the stiffness.

# 6 Poor Exercise Technique & Poor Lifting Technique may increase pressure on the lower back. Improper form during training and poor body mechanics when lifting will place extra stress on the lower back.

Above is just a quick and simple approach to mechanical back pain. Prolonged sitting, poor posture, weak abdominal muscles, weak lower back muscles, poor flexibility, and improper practice or eliminate any technique can increase the pressure on the cartilage that lines the joints of the lower back.

As a physiotherapist, I try to encourage people suffering from a slightly sore lower back from standing in front the computer to exercise regularly.

I also encourage people aware of their attitudes and exercise regularly to strengthen the abdominal and lower back muscles. Finally, I encourage people to stretch regularly and use good lifting technique to reduce pressure on the lower back.
