I must admit I like all sports. Everything from MMA to bowling. I have not always felt this way but as I age and become slower, he seems to appreciate the athletic ability, even if it is to throw a ball down an alley.

However, when it comes of Mixed Martial Arts there is a great center of attraction for me. Even if it is a blood sport aggressive and hurt people. There seems to be enough drama with the creation of The Ultimate Fighter and dedication it takes to step in the octagon.

I also know that this is not for everyone! I read somewhere that the attraction is waining a bit even with the explosion of the UFC. I do not see leaving the sport in prime time anytime soon, but I do not see lasting longer than the folly of poker did. But who knows it could simply replace the WWE?

But recently, the sport has suffered a blow when a tragic death. Sat Vasquez of Houston, TX in May became the first fighter to die from injuries sustained in a competition of mixed martial arts in America North.

I want to start by sending my condolences to family and have no desire to make light of what happened. There is nothing that can replace someone's life, and it a tragedy when it is cut short by a sport.

What I want to explore is whether that death is indeed MMA anyway. I wonder what the game will for those who hate sports or even for those who love the sport. Will the incidence of death Mans in both directions.

I understand that this sport involves a risk huge! But I also understand that these guys train like crazy and know what they do. They have strong camps that teach these guys how to fight and not hurt you as much as you can in a combat sport.

The sport has improved its safety and officiating, compare games five years ago to those you see today, you will immediately notice any changes.

However, this does not resolve this situation. The sport is fought in a cage filled with cheers from all blow that landed on someone's face, and we love watching the strike outs.

So I wonder, with perhaps the first death in MMA fighting in North America, the sport suffer and take a hit, or will it continue without any recourse? What do you think?
