The difference in Nihon Goshin Aikido and Jiu Jitsu?

Nihon Goshin Aikido is a self deffence Japenese art. It teaches throws, joint locks, blocks, strikes, nerve pressure points, and weapons. I know Aikdo came from Jiu Jitsu and just wanted to know the difference between this type of Aikido and Jiu Jitsu.

Aikido, in its various forms, largely comes from a method called Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu. This is an empty hand method is applied to and influenced by sword arts. Most of the forms of jujutsu is similar origins, however, much of what we see today in Jujitsu also influenced by other empty-hand methods. Many of the traditional sword cultural influences have also decreased in its present form. Both arts have undergone cross-training effects by practitioners who have practiced both. Beyond gender differences and technology preferences, general strategy and the manner of dealing with attackers is very similar …. Joint immobilization, subject, atemi pressure point, etc. At least that is my understanding of my own research.
