Security providers today do a lot more than those of yester years. Crime has increased and the danger posed by their work has increased tenfold. This is the reason SORA training is provided to anyone who is remotely related to the field of security. It is meant to give them additional skills so that they can be more ready to deal with the new challenges.
The coaching is done intensely so that they can all be ready when anything happens. This is because in some cases, the police might be very far, and the first people there can be the guards, they are therefore trained so that they can be able to handle such scenarios.
The curriculum that governs the coaching covers a wide range of subjects so that the trainees can have a lot of skills. It includes what a person does in case of any emergency, the protocols to follow and whom to inform for the quickest response. It may also include on ways to catch offenders.
Another aspect may be in fire and fire control. This may include techniques to stop the fire and procedures to follow. On the same note, first aid services may also be taught. How to deal with people resisting arrest is also taught, and all these include how to maintain the rights of all.
Additional areas that are covered include things to do in case of a bomb scare, or an attack. What the guards are taught here are what not to carry out, and plans to follow. There may also be diffusion classes for the more advanced personnel.
