Remember the days when you do not buy your kids Halloween costumes?   Instead, Moms (and children) would costumes! Usually, it would be something simple, like a ghost or a hobo, and children were satisfied with the result. If you had a mother who had some time and some basic sewing skills, they may be more elaborate. I remember one year our Mom made my brother, a hot dog costume! The previous year he had a Christmas tree!

Today however, our children are much more demanding. They want be the latest superhero or a character in a movie they just saw. It is a bit much to Mom's home. Sometimes they want even multiple suits, they did not arise at different parts in the same costume. Store-bought costumes are however not only expensive for overnight wear, but they lack imagination and creativity. More and more people seem to revert to wearing homemade costumes. The more creative the better!

There are several advantages to making your own costume. For one, it is usually much cheaper than buying a costume. Many times, you can use stuff you already have laying around house.ie Make your costume requires a little imagination and creativity, things many children these days are deprived on. is something that children and parents can do together, and time together is something we do not get a lot of. homemade costumes are better for the competition too! People are more impressed by something you yourself and the children are proud to wear.

All you have to do to find a great home costume ideas is to look around your own house. Do you have sweatshirts and sweatpants? That half of a law suit here! There are many things you can do based on what they color are. Are they white? Add a few spots and become a Dalmation. With some wings and a halo you're an angel! If your clothes are green, find an old band and some hot glue "petals" on the cutting foam fun. It is a flower! A holding of Brown and you can a dog, or my personal favorite, a clothesline! My family has won competitions with this one! All it takes is two people, corresponding to sweat, rope, and some underwear funny hang on it!

Some other ideas that you can do with things that you have been a housewife is tired / costume mom, or a hobo or a gypsy. You can just throw together a pile of debris from the past Halloweens and just be "Halloween." Whatever you do, it is bound to be a hit with a little effort and imagination.
