The rise of the gym and health club has been unstoppable in recent years. There is now a multi-million pound industry focused around state of the art fitness & Health Clubs across the globe. And yet we have never been as unfit or unhealthy as we are today. W uch studios have encouraged a large amount of people who are fitter made and are now easier to achieve than ever before, I am convinced that they sometimes do not do more harm than good in the struggle to "keep fit". Before you dismiss this idea, read on and see what you think about the following drawbacks of gyms …

I have seen so many people to use the gym equipment, wrongfully in that they not only training the muscles incorrectly, they are sometimes putting themselves at greater risk of maintaining an injury. Go into any gym and you do not have to look far to find someone using a machine incorrectly. While most gyms are people required to an induction before training have, this is usually a short walk around the gym having regard to the machines with the odd chance demonstration. There is very little follow-up and monitoring or ensure feedback to the people performing exercises correctly every time they come into the gym.

The mere fact that there are often 20 or more machines in the gym leads people to believe that they should actually use most if not all of them think at some point in their program, they should all the muscles as they can train or just out of curiosity too. That is a mistake. I often train clients with nothing more than the correctly-sized stability ball, some Dumbbells and a mat. In a gym, I can use the cable machine, but I would rarely put a client on a fixed resistance machine. Such machines can to to lead the development of the faulty recruitment patterns and muscle imbalances and will likely de-rail crucial stabilizer muscles for functional Movement is required. I have touched on this several times before, it is not the smallest detail.

The equation by going to the gym to get fit to be is a personal Bugbear. How many people do you know who say, "Oh, I really need to get fit to be, but apparently not time to have the gym"? A simple solution – train to walk on a pair of sneakers and or run. In the time that you made to get into the gym, and move on gehts the treadmill, it's been 20 minutes and it was already 20 minutes on foot and went back home on the couch (or you do ab exercises on the floor of the Living room!). The inclusion of more activity into your daily life is also a step in the right direction and can be reached easily with a little thought and planning.

It is also very discouraging when people go to the gym religiously, and yet see little or no progress. This is mainly due to lack of knowledge about what they actually do, should go to the gym – how often do the exercises, to train as hard to see how many sets to rest as many reps as long as to go, what they eat and when. It is not surprising that people do not know what to do if they are – it is a reason why I believe that people have personal trainer, as a way to gain the maximum benefits from their membership in the gym as an unnecessary additional cost should consider.

And for people that are making progress in the gym – lose weight, bulk and get where they want to be – that's great. But during the holidays for a few weeks or missing only the odd session here or there means that they easily go from the regular routine and begin to lose their fitness. Due to their recent success, they now increasingly Gang associate fit into the gym and if they do not get to the gym, they do not feel back into shape, until they do. This also works the other way – If people do not like the gym, or it has never really helped get fit despite going regularly, they can always fit a negative perception by associating with Gang to the gym and feel desperate that they will never develop to achieve their goals, too.

But what is the alternative? Well, how about the money She had to spend to spend for membership at the gym, a personal trainer?

By working with a trainer, you can guarantee are to the right program to achieve your goals. More often from the comfort of your coach to your home and bring all necessary equipment and can provide you with the planning and You increase your daily activity to your entire lifestyle to improve without ever having set foot inside a gym.

This does not mean you have a need Trainers use every week for the rest of your life But it's great to have someone who can update your program, enter a now and again and keep on track to increase, Once you have achieved your original goals.

In the long run, this is a much more sustainable approach to improving and maintaining your fitness level, but you will never again be able to excuse not taking the time to get to the fitness studio to be able to use!
