Everyone knows what a Tyrannosaurus Rex is today. Books, video games, on popular television shows, books and even some movies, dinosaur, long thought to be the largest dinosaur predator of all time, has dominated the media because of its immense size, strength crushing bite, intimidating looks fascinating and mystical. Ask any kid dinosaurs they consider their favorite chances are you'll end up with the good old T-Rex. All of 'Barney' to 'King Kong' to 'Toy Story' is a kind of debt this wonderful specimen.

But There have been more important predatory dinosaurs that scientists would soon discover. And although they probably never reach the fame meteoric T-Rex will perhaps enjoy forever, this is not a bad thing to recognize other giants that dominated the period, the habitats:

Carcharodontosaurus: This carnivorous giant lived about 98 to 93 million years the Cretaceous period and was nearly as long or even longer than Tyrannosaurus Rex, reaching about 44 feet long. He had a mouth the huge serrated teeth that were 8 inches long. Shark Its name means "toothed lizard" because of its fearsome teeth sawtooth and was found in the deserts of Africa.

Giganotosaurus: The reptile from South America was slightly larger than Tyrannosaurus Rex and lived about 93 to 89 million years. Southern giant lizard's name means "because it really was a predator of gigantic proportions. His teeth were designed to cut instead of crushing it and probably the largest ever discovered the skull of a theropod. Although slightly larger than the T-Rex, his brain is significantly smaller.

Spinosaurus: Probably the most popular because of her veil of foreground and appeared on Jurassic Park 3, Spinosaurus is considered the largest predatory dinosaur ever, surpassing both the T-Rex and Giganotosaurus. Estimates range of about 43 to 50 or so feet long. It is regarded as a generalized and opportunistic predator, with inclinations for fishing, as grizzly bear.

Although no one comes to take the throne of T-Rex in the hearts and minds of people, dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes continue to inspire admiration, sell tickets and get portrayed in the books of the world.
