You have several options and three excellent models you might want to take a look are the Garmin 205, 305 and 405. The least expensive is the 205, so if you are looking for an excellent report the lowest cost, then the latter you want to choose. However, the best Garmin Forerunner and generally more expensive is the 305 because it has more options included in the price and it seems to be a best seller in the 405. .

The Garmin 205 and 305 were on market longer and have a good reputation. The 305 has the ability to display 4 field data which is a plus for many people. Its menu is also heavier than the 305 because it requires you to scroll commands using a rotating bezel touch. It can also be used to download data to your computer that some people find attractive. Some 405 models are equipped a heart monitor and some have the ability to add one later.

Among the three models, the Garmin 405 is a very good choice especially if you want the smallest model available. The 305 has a remarkable history and comes with features comparable to the 405. Both models can usually be bought on sale at close to what you have to pay for the 205, which does not include as many bells and whistles. Only you can decide the best Garmin Forerunner for you. You'll be impressed by the device, no matter which model you buy.
