The sport of model airplane combat has been now for decades and has grown exponentially in recent years. The human race is naturally competitive and it is logical that modellers are going to find a way to pit their flying skills against each other.

In fighting the competitors tie a long streamer on the back of their model, and take the air in an attempt to cut their opponents streamer their wing or propeller. Category after category was created for all planes to enter combat. What these groups do not have in common is a kind of point system. Combat Participants earn points for things like cutting their opponents streamers, flies during the ongoing fighting, start within the prescribed period, and points for each foot of streamer left at the landing. Points can not be deducted for the exercise of an opponent in battle. Pilots avoid the fighting will be punished.
