How can I train myself to increase my physical strength as much as possible?

Like so I can carry / lift much heavier things in different ways, such as bench-press, fireman bear, etc. It is not so much about me looking good, more on my strength / fitness itself. I'm not really strong, lol. What specific should I practice? What would you recommend? Thanks a lot.

Jogging every morning .. one miles walk first, then the next 2 miles, etc., etc. .. try to gym:)
