How slippers fit?

Are they suppose that a little longer than your feet? As more by a cm or so? Or they assume that the exact same length as your feet? I've never worn them before so I'm not sure what size I should get. I normally wear size 8 1 / 2 tennis shoes and flats. I've seen people wear them a size bigger than normal and the people who wear it as exactly the same size as their feet (without their toes to stabbing).

I've always thought that the same size as your feet look small. I mean shoe size is honestly just a number. So I would try them if you make out or if you just can not wait to get them I would say one 9 because you have an 8 1 / 2 .. plus it depends on how long you have toes .. Most people who have small stubby toes for a few bars to cause a space in front of you their toes and feet is usually behind their toes .. I do not know .. confusing to explain .. to 9. They should fit. =] Also I will tell you that all the different brands fit .. I wear slippers in a size of Abercrombie [9] and I had to 10 earns from Old Navy .. Good Luck!
