How many calories you burn to race?
The glib answer is 100 or 110 calories per mile on average 155 Runner book.
But group of Syracuse University found that 12 men who ran and walked to 1600 meters (about 1 mile) on a treadmill, burned an average of 124 calories running and 88 walking, while 12 women did the same workout burned 105 calories and 74 respectively. Based on this schedule, if you run for part of an hour, multiply your calories by the number of minutes that you run and divide by 60. For example, if you weigh 140 pounds and run 5 miles per hour after 25 minutes, you burn 508 times by 25 divided by 60, equal to 211 calories. If the same person running at the same speed for 1 hour 16 minutes (76 minutes) and then 508 multiplied by 76 divided by 60 is equivalent to 643 calories.

To convert pounds in kilograms, multiply by 0.45359237. For example, 150 pounds, multiplied by 0.45359237 equals 68 kilograms.
To convert kilograms pounds, multiply by 2.20462262. For example, 59 equals 2.20462262 kilograms 130 pounds.
Although not reflected in terms of calories burned in these tables, running slow is more exhausting than a natural, flowing stride.
To work out how long it takes to burn 1 pound of body fat, with 1 pound of fat is equal to 3,500 calories, divide your weight in pounds by 50, multiply by 4, then divide by 3500. The result indicates you for how many minutes you need to run 6 miles per hour in order to burn 1 pound of body fat.
For example, if you weigh 244 pounds, 244 divided by 50 is equal to 4.88, 4.88 multiplied by 4 is equal to 19.52, 19.52 divided by 3500 equals 179 minutes, 179 minutes divided by 7 days a week is equal to 26. This means that if you ran 26 minutes every day of the week, you lose about 1 pound of body fat per week. If you have completed all the two days, each session should be 51 minutes (179 minutes divided by 3.5 days).
Although the more you run, more efficient your body becomes and the fewer calories than you burn, the race probably gives you a more intense workout and books delivered in less time than, say, walking.
Addition increases your pulse, another advantage of vigorous exercise is your body keeps burning calories after your session. For example, after a workout 20 minutes of high intensity, your body burns the same amount of energy half the intensity of another 40 minutes and is called "Afterburn".
If your efforts at weight loss reached a plateau, or you simply want to speed up the intensity by incorporating interval training (running speed for a short stretch of time or distance) to your routine running will accelerate the results. More burning of calories in less time, speed work also increases your muscle mass and resting metabolism so you use more calories even when not exercising.
Regardless what exercise you do, your goal is more likely to boost your metabolism, increase the number of calories burned and improve your physical condition. After intense exercise your heart rate remains elevated for longer and takes longer to recover than after a quiet walk. That said, a quiet stroll May be more appropriate for an incapacitated person and is much better than no exercise at all.
