on Call of Duty 5 on the Xbox 360 does display signal strenth or internet speed?

when in a game on Xbox Live I'm only about 2 bars, the few times until rerely bar once i get 4 bars and sometimes I was three. do think the bars signal strenth is to do with my internet speed

If your bars means that you a medium-strong joint and a weak connection. A bar means weak, 2 bars represent medium, three to four bars mean much. Zero bar means no connection at all.
