How long does it take your menstrual cycle to return after baby?

i conceived October 2007, I had my baby July 2008. I've been breastfeeding mother since birth and taking the mini pill 6 weeks after birth. I still have not had my cycle return, I know it is for some and not for others, but this is a long time??
