Wireless remote control vibrator?

My wife and I are talking about getting a wireless remote control vibrator. Has anyone ever used one of these? Are those that are external (wireless butterfly) or internal (egg) more effective? We normally ask that since DW has the most stimulation the clitoris, and hence the butterfly seems to make more sense.
