This is surprising for me, but the European country where I'm getting more requests for information on cycling routes is Germany. Maybe I should not be too surprised by the request of cycling routes in Germany as the country offering over 200 cycling routes which receive much traffic bicycles from the local population and visitors.

Top 7 of routes for cycling in Germany

Romantic Road Bike Route
The Romantic Road bike path is not well known by cyclists in North America, this is easily my favorite. The route starts at Wurzburg, near Frankfurt, and meanders along the tranquil farm lanes and cycle paths from the Austrian border in Füssen. En route you pass by three medieval towns, the castles of fairy tales of King Ludwig II, vineyards and much more. The terrain is rolling with some great climbs along the 420 km (261 mile) route.

Rhine cycle route
This is the way everyone has heard. The Rhine cycle begins in the Netherlands and ends in Switzerland, but the most scenic section fixed in Germany. The main German section is 330 km (205 miles) long while being all the way, will more than double that distance. The route is fairly flat along well-maintained paved you pass castles and interesting river traffic.

Trail River Moselle
A road two countries, Moselle River Trail starts in Germany at the Rhine and ending in France at Metz River. Along the way the 304 km (189 mile) route follows the valley River through the vineyards and historic towns

Bodensee Bike Route
North American know the route Bodensee Bike Lake Constance. Take this road to visit three countries on a tour in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The road itself is quite gentle with interesting towns As you round the lake.

Danube Bike Trail
This is the premier Cycling route in Europe, which is best for beginners. The German Starts a section Donaugschingen in the region of the Black Forest and takes you 525 km (326 miles) to Passau on the Austrian border. Do not go to Vienna, Budapest and the Black Sea. Your bike ride through the Bavaria takes you through the picturesque town, medieval towns like Regensburg.

Mozart Bike Route
The Mozart Bike Route visits in the southeastern corner of Germany around Berchtsgaden, before crossing into Austria and loop around the lake district of Austria and Salzburg. Although cycling mainly on thin ice until some big climbs. Highlights include Salzburg fortresses, palaces and lakes in Austria Chimsee District.

German Border Bike Route
This route is not as well known to North U.S.. It begins in East Germany to the Czech border and the German border where a bike route winds along 1.400 kilometers (870 miles) before reaching the Baltic Sea.
