Should kids be able to: coordination, motor skills necessary. This could be good, however, for children who are not convinced by other sports.

My son has this game and I think its great! It just shows that if you provide opportunities to enable young people to be creative, they can make their own fun with just about anything.

My lovely wife was to save some empty containers of oatmeal to a kind of school project when our son has his hands on them. He had been cast hackey sack around, and when he saw the empty containers, inspiration struck. He combined the hackey sack and empty oatmeal containers to create a Jai Alai or scoop-type ball throwing game that was the perfect way to spend a Saturday in the courtyard.

To play, you throw and catch the ball using a vacuum can – it's that easy! It took a little practice, but once we got the hang of it, we were able to create multiple variants that made the game more fun. We counted to see how many times we could throw the ball back and forth without dropping it, then we scored a gross court and played a game where a player attempts throwing the ball on a line while the other player tries to block. Then we created another version of the game where a player tries to throw as high as can and the other player catches it.

The game has been great for practicing coordination and sportsmanship (because, yes, sometimes someone has to lose.) Better yet, it was a very creative way to spend an afternoon.
